Arterial Doppler
Purpose
- Evaluate blood flow, claudication, detect blockages, narrowing or clots in arteries in arms or legs.
- Diagnose peripheral artery disease (PAD) or poor circulation.
How long will this ultrasound take?
This exam takes up to 20-25 mins per extremity
Preparation for a prostate ultrasound
- No prep needed
Procedure:
You will be asked to lie on a table where a technologist will apply a gel to the arm or leg of interest and probe is used to move over the area to scan.
After Procedure:
The radiologist will study your images and dictate a report, which will be sent to your physician within 3–5 business days.
